Louis P. Cardamone and Darlene F. Cardamone endowed this scholarship in memory of their son Gregory L. Cardamone, who graduated from West Liberty State College in 1987.
Gregory was born in Pittsburgh in 1961 and attended Cambridge High School in Ohio. He was on the OVAC All-Star Football Team during his senior year, and he received the Lilenthal Award given to Cambridge’s most valuable football player. He graduated in 1980 and attended the University of Central Florida before transferring to West Liberty. Gregory graduated with a BS degree, and he worked in food and retail management.
Gregory passed away on Good Friday in 1999. His family and friends remember Gregory for his humor, caring, and loyalty. He is most remembered as a loving son, brother, and friend.
