Dr. Harald Wiesner Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship fund was established in 2023 to honor West Liberty University Professor Emeritus Dr. Harald Wiesner. The family of Harald Wiesner decided to make provisions to support the West Liberty University Foundation in Harald’s memory. The family’s intention is to establish an endowed scholarship which provides funding to students in West Liberty University Music Programs of Music Education, Music Performance, and Music Technology. Dr. Wiesner was a professor of Music at WLU for 43 years.

 

Requirements

The Dr. Harald Wiesner Memorial Scholarship has been created to financially aid students enrolled in the West Liberty University Music degree programs of Music Education, Music Performance and Music Technology.

 

  • The scholarship(s) is available to students enrolled full time at West Liberty University and entering as a freshman or upper classman if the Music Department deems the student worthy.
  • The scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Current incoming student must be majoring in Music Education, Music Performance or Music Technology and gave a good academic standing.

 

Maintain Eligibility

  • There is no GPA requirement, but students wishing to renew will maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in Music.
