This fund has been established with gifts made in honor of Dr. Clyde D. Campbell upon his retirement as 27th President of West Liberty State College on July 1, 1995. Campbell, a 1953 graduate of West Liberty State College, seed as president for eleven years. Campbell holds a master’s degree from North Carolina State University and a doctorate from West Virginia University. Campbell began teaching chemistry at West Liberty State College in 1958, and also served as associate academic dean, director of the School of Health Professions, dean of administration and academic dean for the college.
Requirements
Recipients will be selected by the Office of Admissions to grant merit-based scholarships in all disciplines.
Criteria for selection shall be the cumulative high school grade point average and aptitude test scores.
To stay eligible, recipient must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above and a full-time student status.
