BACKGROUND
This scholarship fund was created in 2012 by Jeffrey Davis to honor his late brother, Charles B. Davis, III. Charles was a 1980 graduate of then, West Liberty State College, where he majored in Business and Math. In 2015, Charles B. Davis, II endowed the scholarship in order to perpetuate the funding and establish guidelines for distribution.
USES AND PURPOSES
The Charles B. Davis Scholarship will be a one year scholarship for a student/s pursuing a degree in Science or Math. The amount of the scholarship and number of recipients will be determined based on the available income.
Requirements for Consideration:
- Maintain good academic standing in their field with a GPA of 3.00 or higher
- Full-time sophomore, junior, senior, or post graduate study
- Letter regarding career goals (200-500 words)
- Preference should be given in the following order
→Student from Ohio or Brooke County
→Student who served in the military
→Student working full or part time while attending school
