BACKGROUND
This scholarship was established in 2007 by Dr. John P. McCullough. Dr. McCullough has provided over 45 years of distinguished service to West Liberty University in a variety of capacities including, President, Interim President, Provost, Dean of the School of Business Administration, and Professor. He has touched the lives of thousands of students and is beloved by alumni, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration:
- Must be a student-athlete in any sport
- Must be entering with a declared major within the Gary E. West College of Business
- It is preferred that the student be in Management or Sports Management.
- The student must maintain their scholastic athletic eligibility while attending WLU.
- If a student loses eligibility, discontinues attendance at WLU, discontinues participation in the sport, or discontinues as a major in the College of Business, a replacement will be selected from the next incoming freshman class.
- Priority can be given to a student-athlete from a West Virginia Northern Panhandle High School.
Selection of Recipients:
The Athletic Director, in conjunction with coaches and the Director of Financial Aid, will identify and choose the student for whom this scholarship would be most appropriate.
