Uses and Purposes

 

The uses and expenditures of this fund shall be consistent with the West Liberty University Foundation policies. This fund shall be administered by a designee of the Foundation with the input of the John W. Hattman Scholarship Committee and the Dean of the College of Liberal and Creative Arts.

 

Scholarship Guidelines

 

  • Recipient should be a junior or senior English Liberal Arts Major
  • Financial need should be considered in the event that there are two or more reasonably qualified candidates

This scholarship is now included in the West Liberty University Foundation’s centralized scholarship application. To be considered, complete the general application and list this scholarship when prompted.
Application deadline for the 2026-2027 academic year is April 1, 2026.
