BACKGROUND
The Mull Business Scholarship honors the life and impact of W. Quay Mull II who built a single business into an international enterprise while remaining deeply committed to his community. After graduating from West Liberty in 2016, James Mull dedicated himself to growing the family business, following his father’s footsteps. This scholarship continues his father’s legacy by supporting students who demonstrate a strong work ethic, leadership potential, and a commitment to making a lasting impact in their communities.
Established in loving memory of W. Quay II after his passing on December 28, 2023, this scholarship reflects his lifelong dedication to business education opportunity and community.
USES AND PURPOSES
The Mull Business Scholarship has been created to financially aid students majoring in Business. One $7,500 scholarship may be awarded each year. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration:
- Enrolled as a Business Major in the Gary E. West College of Business
- The students selected should be a resident of the Ohio Valley (Jefferson, Harrison, Belmont and Monroe counties in OH and Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall and Wetzel counties in WV)
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Preference for students who are not eligible for state/federal financial aid
The selection of a worthy candidate will be administered by the Dean of the Gary E. West College of Business with input from appropriate faculty members as needed and the Director of Financial Aid. Must be based on the requirements listed above.
Applications are not accepted for this scholarship.
The criteria above, designated by the scholarship donor, denote the characteristics of those College of Business students who may be eligible for this scholarship.
All students who meet these criteria are evaluated as potential candidates for the scholarship. The awardee is notified by the Financial Aid office if they have been selected as the recipient.
