Diane Billham Gongaware Business Scholarship

Background

Diane Billham Gongaware established this scholarship in August of 2020 as a resource to help WLU students majoring in Business. A native of Weirton, WV, she looks back fondly on her own years as a student of West Liberty State College.

Diane is a 1978 graduate of WLU, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She later earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She then went on to become a successful senior leader across the communications technology sector, leading $2B+ sales and marketing teams in Fortune 500 companies such as Cisco and Verizon. Her experience spans all business market segments across commercial, state and local government, enterprise-wide large business and service providers. She has also been a principal, president and general manager of several successful venture-backed, innovative start-up companies.
