Peggy Lydick McCarroll Dental Hygiene Scholarship

Tom McCarroll and Peggy Lydick, both West Liberty State College graduates, established this scholarship for chemistry and dental hygiene majors in 2001 for the College of Sciences. The two were married in 1951 while Tom was attending West Liberty. He graduated with a BS degree in Chemistry with a Biology minor in 1954, and she graduated in 1950 as a professional Dental Hygienist. They have four children and four grandchildren together.

Selected students enrolled in the College of Sciences will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Requirements:

• Student must of completed their freshman and sophomore years with an accumulated grade point average of no less than 3.0 out of a 4.0 system.
• A sum of $2,000 will be awarded strictly to an incoming Junior for each of the next two years on a path to a four-year degree in Dental Hygiene. A student must maintain at minimum 3.0 GPA throughout to graduation.
• Monies are to be used to offset tuition only.
