Mr. Jack Schuetz, a local State Farm Insurance agent, established this scholarship in the 1980’s. The purpose of the scholarship is to support a senior football player entering his fourth and final year of eligibility. Mr. Schuetz donated $100 per year and the scholarship was matched by State Farm Insurance.
One senior football player will be awarded with a $200 scholarship ($100 per semester) for their fourth and final year of eligibility. Along with that, the award winner will have his name added to a plaque which hangs in the Football Office, and he will receive a symbolic trophy at the annual Football Banquet.
Requirements:
- Eligible students must be a member of the West Liberty Football team entering their fourth and final year of eligibility.
- Students must have the highest GPA of the entire football team and
- Have to be graduating at the end of their fourth year.
