Dr. Robert Harris, son of Kenneth Harris created a scholarship fund in his father’s honor in 1997. The purpose of this fund is to grant scholarships to students who major in Science, Mathematics, Science Education or Mathematics Education and preferably participate on at least one intercollegiate athletic team.
One four year scholarship, awarded on a rotating basis to one male and one female incoming freshman freshman every four years.
Requirements: Eligible applicants must be an incoming freshman with a declared major in either Mathematics, Science, Mathematics Education, or Science Education and preferably participate on at least one intercollegiate athletic team. Applicants must be a resident of West Virginia that qualifies for financial need. Applicants should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum ACT score of 22 or a SAT score of 1020.
