Mary K Ahrens, a lifelong resident of Wheeling, WV and a West Liberty State College alumna bequeathed a substantial amount of money to West Liberty University to provide an endowment for scholarships from the West Liberty University Foundation, Inc. Mary K Ahrens was born in 1917 and graduated from West Liberty State College in 1940. She was a lifetime resident of Wheeling and taught elementary grades and Art in Ohio County Schools for more than 36 years.
This scholarship will honor students. The amount and number of scholarships will be based on the available income from the endowment.
Requirements
- Eligible applicants must be a full-time student in the Honors College.
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ACT score of 22 or higher.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need
