Two incoming freshmen or transfer students, one who must be Communications/Speech Pathology major and the other a Communications/Theater major, will be awarded $2,000 ($250 per semester, for up to four years).
Requirements:
- Eligible applicants must be an incoming freshman or transfer student to West Liberty University.
- Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Communications with a major in Speech Pathology or Theater.
- Applicants must have a high school grade point average of at least a 3.0 and a score of 20 on the ACT.
- Applicants must submit two reference letters and be eligible for financial aid.
Maintain Eligibility:
- The recipient of the award must maintain an overall GPA each semester of 2.5.
- The recipient of the award must remain Communications/Speech Pathology Major or a Communications/Theater major, depending upon which is declared at the time of admission.
- The recipient of the Theater award must participate in a significant way in one or more WLU theater productions each semester as determined by mutual consent by the student and the WLU theater faculty and maintain a 3.0 in his or her major.
- The recipient of the Speech Pathology award will contribute significant work for the WLU Speech Pathology area as determined by mutual consent by the student and Speech Pathology faculty and maintain a 3.0 in his or her major.
