In 1989, Dr. David Jones established this scholarship in memory of his mother Doris Lake who taught in Brooke County, WV for many years. The original intent was to provide two full tuition scholarships to junior or senior students who intend to teach in Brooke County. Criteria for selecting students should be based on merit as well as need.
