Eastern Ohio Dental Society Thomas Matanzo Presidential Scholarship

BACKGROUND

 

This scholarship was established by the Eastern Ohio Dental Society to support a student from Eastern Ohio who is pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene at West Liberty University.

 

USES AND PURPOSES 

 

The income from this fund will be used to provide an annual scholarship award to a recipient who meets the following criteria:

  1. Currently enrolled in the Dental Hygiene Program at WLU.
  2. Resident of Belmont, Monroe Jefferson pr Harrison County, Ohio
  3. Maintains a 3.0 GPA

 

The amount of the scholarship will be $500 but may increase if contributions to the scholarship fund increase.

This scholarship is now included in the West Liberty University Foundation’s centralized scholarship application. To be considered, complete the general application and list this scholarship when prompted.
Application deadline for the 2026-2027 academic year is April 1, 2026.
