WLU Foundation Announces Promotion and New Hire
WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., July 1, 2020 — The West Liberty University Foundation has announced changes in its staff. Alexis Montes, formerly employed by West Liberty University, has been hired as Assistant Director of Alumni Giving.
Additionally, Nick Musgrave, who has been with the Foundation since September 2018, has been promoted to Assistant Director of Development.
“I am pleased to announce Nick’s promotion and Alexis’ hiring. Both are talented and enthusiastic supporters of our mission. I am certain they will only add to the Foundation’s success in the future,” said Executive Director of the Foundation Angela Zambito Hill.
Montes will begin her new position on July 6, 2020. Musgrave’s promotion is effective July 1, 2020.
A native of Glen Dale, Montes graduated from John Marshall High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s in education, with a concentration in athletic administration and coaching at WLU in 2016. She then earned a master’s in sports administration at Marshall University.
While a student at WLU, Montes was a standout in track and field and made history as WLU’s first, two-time NCAA Division II Track and Field All-American.
Originally from Parkersburg, W.Va., Musgrave earned a bachelor’s in history and political science at Hastings College, located in Hastings, Nebraska.
Formerly the Foundation’s development coordinator, his duties have been expanded and he will be responsible for more direct fundraising and donor outreach. He also will oversee some stewardship initiatives including the comprehensive Foundation Scholarship Donor Program.
A member of the Rotary Club of Wheeling, Musgrave resides in historic North Wheeling with his wife, McKenna.
