Dr. Robert Harris, son of Kenneth Harris created a scholarship fund in his father’s honor in 1997. The purpose of this fund is to grant scholarships to students who major in Science, Mathematics, Science Education or Mathematics Education and preferably participate on at least one intercollegiate athletic team.
Requirements
One four-year scholarship, awarded on a rotating basis to one male and one female incoming freshman every four years.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration:
- applicants must be residents of West Virginia
- applicants should be recruits participating in an intercollegiate athletic team (if there are no eligible athletes, scholarship may be awarded to a non-athlete that meets academic and financial requirements)
- 3.0 cumulative GPA and an ACT score of 22 or higher, or an SAT of 1030. A non-athlete minimum qualifying GPA shall be 3.20
- must qualify for financial aid according to FAFSA
